Straightforward, minimalist and notable for their clarity - these are the guiding principles that Justus Kolberg applies to his work. He studied´interior design in Kiel, then to work for Castelli and Tecno in Italy and for the Wilkhahn company's ‘Wiege' among other clients. In 1997 he switched to freelance status, and now lives and works in Hamburg. Although Justus Kolberg is often primarily associated with his successful chair designs, the full extent of his creativity is evident in his purist coat stand line HOOK for Schönbuch.
