Long useful life and a direct design approach: these design maxims are shared by Hartmut Tromberend and Hans-Otto Bathen, both of whom interior design they established their joint design office in 1993. Previous career stages included working at Peter Maly's studio in Hamburg, at Atelier Holste in Hanover and at Studio Thun in Milan. The versatile Tromberend and Bathen team is active in architecture, interior design, exhibition stand construction and furniture design. Its clients include Interlübke, Poggenpohl and Ronald Schmitt. It created the SIRIUS entrance-area programme for Schönbuch.
