Recent events and relaunch
In 2005, Michael Ress took over management
of Schönbuch. He is the proprietor
of Ress Möbelwerkstätten, the furniture
manufacturer based in Bad Königshofen
Germany. Family-owned for six generations,
the company has been a Schönbuch
business associate for many years. Since it
was established in 1960, Schönbuch has
gained a high reputation as a specialist
supplier of entrance-area furniture. With his
thorough knowledge of the market and
international management experience,
Michael Ress in conjunction with Carolin
Sangha has steadily updated the collection,
so that Schönbuch is now aligned with
international market needs in every area.
All its CI elements have been redesigned:
wordmark, communication media and
paths, product presentation and approach
to the end-user. For the Schönbuch collections
of the future, the notable designer
personalities that have so far worked for
Schönbuch are now being joined increasingly
by new international stars of the design
scene.
This successful relaunch is confirmed by
continually high growth rates and the
penetration of new markets, but also by a
positive echo in the media, numerous
design awards and an enhanced international
brand presence. All these factors
have strengthened trade and public awareness
of the brand.
