Consider the future, remember the past – this is a linking factor in the work that Torsten Cramer and Martin Neveling jointly produce. After studying interior architecture in Detmold and lecturing on furniture design at the University, the two graduate engineers established their 08 16 quergedacht design studio in the town of Lippstadt in 2004. Light fittings and innovative lighting planning are among the central elements in their varied activities; the ability to question basic principles and practise lateral thinking gives their work its special character. For Schönbuch, they reveal another aspect of this approach with their CONE hook and with BANGLE.
