Schönbuch Designer Ulf Moritz

Ulf Moritz

The ‘Bauhaus' and the 1960s: design from these periods has had a major influence on the work of Ulf Moritz. After gaining his industrial designer's diploma, he decided to go abroad, initially to Switzerland and afterwards to Amsterdam. In 1970 Ulf Moritz opened his own design studio in Amsterdam. His clients include Interlübke, Ruckstuhl, Sahco Hesslein and Marburger Tapetenfabrik. From 1971 until 2004 he conducted the department 'Man and Identity' at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. The catalogue of his well-known clients is extensive. As well as his own fabric, wallpaper and glass collections, Moritz designs furniture collections. For Schönbuch he created the EPOCA entrance area program that with its minimalist style has already gained its classic status.
