Kaidan

The defining design feature of KAIDAN – Japanese for ‘stairway’ – is the slightly tilted door and drawer fronts. These low- and sideboards come in various versions, finished in either real, matt-painted oak or walnut veneer, or with a fully lacquered finish. There is a range of matt and high-gloss colours to choose from. KAIDAN also comes in a variety of widths, with 2, 3 or 4 doors, or 3 or 4 drawers. The doors are opened by their edges, which serve as grips, while the drawers are push-to-open. KAIDAN is topped with a cover panel that sits flush with the edges of the drawers and doors. It stands on a plinth. The interior can be fitted with loose shelves in the veneer or colour of the body, as well as interior drawers and shoe shelves in perforated sheet metal. KAIDAN offers ample storage and is ideal for mixing and matching. Instantly recognisable, with a purist look.
